[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] In Ohio, USA, a tragic incident occurred where a child who was abandoned by his mother clung to her car and fell to his death.

According to ABC News on the 1st, Brittany Gosney (29) abandoned her son James Hutchinson (6) on the 27th of last month, then put her other two children in the car and headed to Rush Run Park in Preble County.

However, Hutchinson grabbed onto his mother's car as she was about to leave, and Gosney did not stop and drove off. The boy eventually fell onto the road and died.

Gosney returned to the place where her son lost his life and found his body, then, together with her boyfriend James Russell Hamilton (42), disposed of the boy's body in the Ohio River.

Subsequently, Gosney and Hamilton went to the Middletown Police Station and reported the child as missing.

However, when the police chief, who felt something suspicious, questioned them, the mother said, "I abandoned the child and when I returned to the parking lot, I found the child dead."

The police chief stated, "Hamilton cooperated with the investigation, but Gosney appeared to show no remorse."

According to the police, Gosney intended to abandon all her children and started by abandoning Hutchinson first.

The two children who witnessed the crime are currently receiving psychological treatment and care at a protective facility. Gosney's fourth child, whose custody was previously lost, is also under protection in Ohio.

The police are searching for Hutchinson's body, but are facing difficulties due to the high water level of the river.

Tracy Neely, principal of Rosa Park Elementary School, said, "Hutchinson was a bright and outgoing child. Today, we are very saddened to lose a friend. He used to hug all the teachers in class. We will always remember his bright smile," paying tribute to Hutchinson.

Gosney and Hamilton, charged with evidence tampering and corpse disposal, will soon appear in court for trial.
