KT Estate Appoints Choi Nam-cheol as New CEO Choi Nam-chul, the new CEO of KT Estate.

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT Group's real estate specialist company KT Estate announced on the 2nd that it has appointed Namchul Choi, former Vice President of Samsung C&T Construction Division, as the new CEO. Namchul Choi was appointed in recognition of his extensive practical experience and management capabilities to grow KT Estate into a specialized real estate company.


Namchul Choi, who was finally appointed through a shareholders' meeting, joined Samsung C&T in 1988. He served as head of the Housing Corporation Team in 2011, Q-HSE Management Office in 2013, and later held positions such as head of the High-Tech Team and Building Business Division Director, gaining comprehensive experience in both fieldwork and overall management at Samsung C&T as a real estate professional. He majored in Architectural Engineering at Korea University and earned an MBA from the same university's graduate school, being recognized for his expertise in real estate and management skills.


CEO Namchul Choi stated, “KT Estate is evaluated as a highly promising company that develops differentiated real estate businesses based on KT's ICT technology,” and added, “We will actively respond to the challenging real estate market environment and post-COVID-19 trend changes, discover new growth engines based on corporate rental housing business, and do our best to make KT Estate the industry's top company recognized by the real estate market and customers.”


KT Estate plans to open the Sofitel Ambassador Hotel in Songpa in the second half of this year and will also expand rental housing and sales businesses. In asset management, the company plans not only to increase the value of its owned assets but also to promote external building management businesses through integrated control platforms.
