[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Power supply was cut off to about 150 households in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul due to a bird's nest on top of a transformer, but it was restored in about 30 minutes.
According to Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and others on the 1st, at around 5:30 a.m. that day, KEPCO responded to a resident's report saying "there was a popping sound and sparks from the power line." A KEPCO official said, "Sparks occurred due to a bird's nest built on top of the transformer," adding, "After about 30 minutes of maintenance, the electricity was supplied again."
