[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] A man in his 40s who was charged with secretly breaking into someone else's house by peeking at the front door password was sentenced to prison. It was revealed that this man is a sex offender who was previously sentenced to seven years in prison in 2011 for charges including residential intrusion and rape.
On the 22nd, Judge Hwang Mijeong of the Incheon District Court Criminal Division 10 announced that A (48), who was charged with residential intrusion, was sentenced to three years in prison.
The court pointed out, "The defendant went to the crime scene several times in advance to find out the victim's front door password, and each time waited for more than two hours to secretly film the victim's family opening the front door."
It added, "The defendant has a prior record of imprisonment and fines for charges including residential intrusion rape and injury by rape. Although he admits to the crime and shows remorse, the guilt is serious," explaining the reason for the sentence.
A was charged with secretly entering B (18)'s house by opening the front door of a villa in Incheon City at 12:38 p.m. on November 23 last year.
It was found that a few days before the incident, he secretly filmed a video of B's family entering the password of the front door lock on the stairs in front of B's house.
Afterward, on the day of the incident, A waited for two hours in a passenger car parked in the villa parking lot, and when B went out, he secretly entered the house using the previously learned front door password, according to the investigation.
Meanwhile, A was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2011 for charges including residential intrusion rape under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes and was released in 2018.
