[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Gwangju Bank announced on the 27th that it has launched the mid-interest rate credit loan "Prime Plus Loan" for middle- and low-credit customers.
Gwangju Bank explained that through the Prime Plus Loan, it provides loans up to 50 million KRW at reasonable interest rates not only to middle- and low-credit customers who have not been able to overcome the high loan barriers of banks but also to high-credit customers who have practical repayment ability but cannot have a limit calculated due to existing loan amounts.
Employees with salary income can apply anytime via mobile (Smart Banking, Mobile Web Banking), and the repayment period can be freely selected within a maximum of 5 years. There is no prepayment penalty.
A Gwangju Bank official said, "We expect to embrace middle- and low-credit customers into the first-tier financial sector by identifying the financial needs of consumers who are not included in the first-tier financial sector and calculating appropriate limits and interest rates within a manageable risk range."
