On the 22nd, the city viewed from the 63 Art Observatory in Yeouido, Seoul, appears hazy due to fog and fine dust.
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] On Wednesday the 27th, the whole country is expected to be mostly clear with a chilly morning.
The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Morning temperatures will drop by about 3 to 7 degrees compared to the previous day (-1 to 8 degrees), making the central regions and southern inland areas chilly with temperatures below 0 degrees. Daytime temperatures will be similar to the previous day (4 to 9 degrees)."
By region, the lowest morning temperatures on this day are expected to be △Seoul -3°C △Chuncheon -5°C △Gangneung 1°C △Daejeon -2°C △Cheongju -2°C △Daegu 0°C △Gwangju 1°C △Jeonju 0°C △Busan 3°C △Jeju 5°C 4°C.
The highest daytime temperatures are forecasted as △Seoul 5°C △Chuncheon 6°C △Gangneung 8°C △Daejeon 7°C △Cheongju 6°C △Daegu 9°C △Gwangju 9°C △Jeonju 7°C △Busan 12°C △Jeju 10°C.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Sejong, Chungbuk, and Chungnam due to accumulation caused by stagnant air, while other regions will experience levels ranging from 'good' to 'moderate.'
Due to the rain that fell the previous day, there is a high amount of moisture in the atmosphere, and as temperatures drop overnight, condensation will occur. Most areas nationwide may experience fog with visibility less than 1 km, so caution is advised when driving.
The Korea Meteorological Administration urged, "On the West Coast, including Yeongjong Bridge, Incheon Bridge, Seohae Bridge, and mountain roads affected by low cloud bands, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters is expected. When driving, please maintain sufficient distance between vehicles and reduce speed to prevent accidents such as collisions. We ask for special attention to traffic safety."
