[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] DGB Daegu Bank announced on the 26th that it received a plaque of appreciation from the Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Council in recognition of its efforts in carrying out the ‘DGB Happiness Blossoming Study Room’ project to improve the learning environment for local children.
The ‘DGB Happiness Blossoming Study Room’ project aims to improve the learning environment of child care facilities in underprivileged local areas by creating comfortable study rooms, thereby supporting children to focus on their studies and grow healthily. DGB Daegu Bank has been conducting the project in collaboration with the Daegu and Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Councils. So far, it has supported over 70 study rooms.
A representative of DGB Daegu Bank stated, “We hope that operating study rooms in compliance with quarantine guidelines will help local students who are struggling to create a proper learning environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “We accept this plaque of appreciation as encouragement to work even harder in sharing for local children and will devote ourselves to volunteer activities for the community.”
