Contributing to the Establishment of an Environmentally Conscious Consumer Culture in Everyday Life
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 22nd that it will carry out the 'Today’s Natural Habit, Baeksul' campaign. The campaign was planned to promote the efforts of 'Baeksul Cooking Oil,' which has increased its recycling rate through package renewal, while contributing to the establishment of an environmentally conscious consumer culture.
This campaign will be operated through the Baeksul website until the Lunar New Year holiday. Participants can join by posting on social networking services (SNS) photos of their eco-friendly daily habits, such as using the renewed ‘Baeksul Cooking Oil,’ properly separating and disposing of waste after use, and using eco-bags and tumblers.
A game event will also be held. Prizes such as ‘Baeksul Cooking Oil gift sets,’ ‘eco-friendly tableware,’ and ‘air purifiers’ will be given away through a lottery.
In May of last year, CJ CheilJedang replaced the colored packaging of ‘Baeksul Cooking Oil’ with transparent containers. The packaging labels were also changed to water-soluble labels (labels designed to easily detach from PET bottles during the recycling process) to increase the recycling rate. For the upcoming Lunar New Year, the newly changed packaging has been applied to all ‘Baeksul Premium Oil’ gift sets.
