10 New COVID-19 Cases Among USFK...Total 646 Confirmed On the 29th of last month (Korean time), Robert Abrams, Commander of the ROK-U.S. Combined Forces Command and Commander of United States Forces Korea, received a COVID-19 vaccination at Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital at the Humphreys U.S. Army Base in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province.


[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] The United States Forces Korea (USFK) announced on the 21st that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has increased by 10.


Among the 10 new cases, 3 were infected while in Korea. They include a Department of Defense civilian employee who visited Yongsan US military base, the spouse of another Department of Defense employee, and a service member assigned to Gunsan US military base.


The remaining 7 confirmed cases are USFK personnel who entered Korea between the 6th and 20th of this month via US government charter flights or commercial airlines. Among the confirmed cases, 5 tested positive in COVID-19 tests conducted immediately after arrival. The other 2 were confirmed positive in tests conducted before the end of mandatory quarantine. As of this date, the total cumulative number of confirmed cases related to USFK has risen to 646.
