"The current pin location is here."
This is the Voice Caddie APL (Auto Pin Location) rangefinder (photo). It provides real-time information on the hole's position for precise green targeting. During a round, the pin location changes daily, and golf courses also change holes depending on the time of day for effective green management. Naturally, this affects club selection. The starting point was amateur golfers' concern: "Isn't there a way to know the pin situation accurately?"
APL, with the subtitle "Pin is here now!", guides the real-time pin location. It was developed after careful consideration to allow golfers to enjoy the game more precisely and conveniently, based on Voice Caddie's accumulated know-how and advanced GPS technology. A stopper installed on the flagstick transmits the location to a server using 5G communication, which then delivers the pin location to the device via an app, providing accurate pin positioning. It is very useful for green targeting.
Especially when the pin is located at the edge of the green, you can set your own strategy based on the remaining distance to the boundary, the undulation around the pin, and terrain features. The beta service is currently underway and is available at 74 golf courses. It is planned to expand to about 100 golf courses by the end of the year. It can be linked with the MyVoiceCaddie app on devices such as the Voice Caddie golf watch T7 and laser-type SL2, both released this year. More details are available on the website.
