Genians Strengthens Collaboration with Global Vendors on Next-Generation Security Technologies

Global Leading Companies and Technology Partnerships with IBM, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and More

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Ginnoans is strengthening technical cooperation with global IT companies such as IBM, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Qualys, and Tenable, jointly responding to cyber threats. The cooperation scope has expanded not only in the fields of APT, firewall, intrusion detection and prevention systems but also recently in next-generation security areas such as vulnerability management, SIEM, and SOAR.

As cyber threats evolve, it is virtually impossible to obtain sufficient information to respond to threats with a single security solution. Ginnoans' next-generation NAC solution can effectively manage systems integrally against cyber threats by enhancing visibility, threat detection, and monitoring functions through collaboration with solutions like SIEM and SOAR.

On the 19th, Ginnoans announced that it has linked technologies mutually through standard protocols and APIs in the SOAR field with IBM and Palo Alto Networks, and in vulnerability management with Beyond Security, Qualys, and Tenable. The goal was to enable users to easily strengthen security measures through convenient and efficient processes by interworking and collaborating with various security products.

With IBM's SOAR solution 'Resilient,' threat information judged by the SOAR system is delivered to 'Ginnoan NAC' to block threats or quickly execute defense policies on the nearest endpoint when an attack occurs.

Palo Alto Networks' SOAR solution 'Cortex XSOAR' includes cases in product releases that automatically apply enterprise-wide security processes. Through integration with Ginnoan NAC, it enables the application of various data collected at the network edge, security policies, and control policies.

With vulnerability management leaders Qualys and Tenable, when a new node is detected by NAC, a vulnerability scan is requested, and based on the scan results (scores), alarms are provided to users or network access is blocked. It is configured based on the cloud to be applicable even in remote work environments.

Various security solutions are emerging worldwide to respond to sophisticated cyber threats. However, from an administrator's perspective, complexity and vulnerabilities caused by numerous security vendors and solutions are also increasing. Establishing more automated and efficient security processes through interworking of various security solutions and collaboration among vendors is necessary.

Ginnoans' next-generation NAC solution can secure endpoint visibility at the network edge and provide extended information and threat intelligence for security management and operation, enabling the construction of an effective cyber defense framework. It can enforce security policies integrally by interworking with various security solutions and is suitable for applying enterprise-wide security processes.

Kim Gye-yeon, head of Ginnoans' US branch, said, "Security is a process, not a system," adding, "To automate the process, it is necessary to interwork with various security products so that efficient processes can be easily applied."
