[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] There is growing sorrow as suspicions arise that a woman in her 20s who dreamed of becoming a singer died after being subjected to illegal filming and sexual assault by a singer and composer.

On the 3rd, MBC Newsdesk reported that in April, aspiring singer A (27) was found dead at her home with a note saying, "I was hurt and suffered by people." It is reported that A supported herself through part-time jobs while participating in band activities.

According to MBC, the bereaved family filed a complaint, stating that this death is related to the ex-boyfriend, a composer and singer, who drugged her drink and committed illegal filming and sexual crimes.

A’s father reportedly discovered unexpected conversations on his deceased daughter's cellphone. Two months before her death, she appealed to an acquaintance, saying, "They drugged my drink," and "I realized too late that they did worse things to me. I can't do anything, and I feel like I'm losing my mind."

The accused named by A is B, a singer and composer she once dated, who recently participated in album production for a famous idol group.

A’s acquaintances revealed, "During their relationship, A was subjected to illegal filming and sexual violence."

They also said in unison, "A was in agony over the illegal filming videos sent by B."

One of A’s acquaintances said, "(A) had just taken a sip of whiskey but foamed at the mouth and collapsed. She lost her memory, was found lying naked on the bed, and it was said that videos were taken."

A’s father reported B to the police, who have launched an investigation.

The police investigating the case confirmed that B has been criminally charged under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act and for injury by rape. Additionally, the police are analyzing digital evidence from B’s seized cellphone and computer obtained through a search of his residence.

The police are accelerating the investigation, planning to summon B within this month to clarify the criminal charges.

Meanwhile, B reportedly denies the allegations. In a message to MBC reporters, B said, "As far as I remember and according to the various records I have, such incidents did not occur. The stories suddenly brought up about half a year after our relationship are not true, and I am cooperating more than anyone else to reveal the factual truth."

B’s lawyer also refuted the claims, stating, "These are only the complainant’s unilateral assertions," and "B has never acted in a way that is legally or morally blameworthy."
