[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] During a National Assembly audit, Choi Chang-hee, CEO of Gongyoung Home Shopping, called Ryu Ho-jeong, a Justice Party lawmaker who questioned him, "Hey," leading to a 'happening' where Ryu responded with a counter-question. CEO Choi is a former public relations advisor for Moon Jae-in's presidential campaign and an advertising expert who created the slogan "People First."

On the 19th, CEO Choi appeared at the National Assembly audit of the Small and Medium Venture Business Department's affiliated agencies and was questioned by Lawmaker Ryu. On that day, Ryu questioned the suspicion of "false statements on the resume of a Gongyoung Home Shopping expert committee member."

Ryu said, "CEO Choi is the person who created the phrase 'People First.' I believe trust and fairness are also core values of Gongyoung Home Shopping," adding, "According to the expert committee recruitment announcement, the qualification is '20 years of experience in the relevant field,' but the resume of the person who was hired does not meet the qualifications."

According to Lawmaker Ryu, the committee member under suspicion listed their employment status as "contract worker" on the career certificate submitted after joining, but wrote "regular employee" on the job application.

Regarding this, CEO Choi responded, "Even 20 years ago, when we joined, we usually started as probationary employees," and added, "At that time, I don't think there was a distinction between contract and regular employees."

At this point, when Lawmaker Ryu interrupted, saying, "That does not mean false statements are permissible," CEO Choi looked at Ryu and raised his voice, saying "Hey." Ryu, with a bewildered expression, immediately responded, "Hey?" but CEO Choi continued, saying, "I think it was not judged as a false statement," and proceeded with his answer. Ryu's questioning time ended, and the microphone was turned off. Afterwards, Ryu did not raise any further issues.

Meanwhile, born in 1992, Lawmaker Ryu is the youngest member of the 21st National Assembly.
