On the 19th, at the completion ceremony of the negative pressure isolation ward of the Central Infectious Disease Hospital held at the National Medical Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, Deputy Minister Kang Do-tae of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Director Jeong Ki-hyun, and other guests took a commemorative photo. The 'Central Infectious Disease Hospital Negative Pressure Isolation Ward,' with a total of 30 beds, was promoted through urgent consultations between the National Medical Center and the government starting in June this year in preparation for the prolonged spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and large-scale patient outbreaks. It was newly constructed in front of the main building with a total floor area of 2,120㎡ and three above-ground floors (1st and 2nd floors for negative pressure isolation rooms and support facilities, 3rd floor for education, training, and office space). / Reporter Kim Hyun-min kimhyun81@
