Takeuchi Yuko gave birth to her first child after marrying in 2005 and divorced in 2008. She remarried Nakabayashi Taiki in February last year and gave birth to her second son in January this year. She tragically passed away eight months after giving birth to her second son, causing shock.

Takeuchi enjoyed great popularity in Japan. She won the Japan Academy Award for Best Actress for "Rebirth" in 2003 and "Spring Snow" in 2005. She gained particular fame with the 2005 film "Be With You."
