Operation of 13 Cases This Year Continues Next Year... Addition of Recorded Heritage and Non-Face-to-Face Programs
On the 21st, the Cultural Heritage Administration announced that it has selected twenty-three World Heritage utilization programs for next year. World Heritage utilization programs are national representative cultural products based on World Heritage sites. They aim not only to preserve and pass on the value of World Heritage but also to create added value. This year, the initiative started with thirteen programs. Examples include Suwon Hwaseong's 'Romantic Picnic' and Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Caves' 'World Natural Heritage Future Nurturing Program.' All of these will continue next year. Among the ten additional programs, 'Busan Joseon Tongsinsa Historical Tour,' 'Gongju Joseon Tongsinsa Records,' and 'Andong Korean Confucian Woodblocks' are World Documentary Heritage utilization programs. The lineup also includes non-face-to-face programs considering the spread of COVID-19, such as 'Back to Baekje: Ungjin Exploration Team' and 'Big Game Tongdosa.'
