[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jeong-ho] The stars who took a nostalgic trip together revealed unaired footage of 'Seoul Chonnom'.
In the final episode of tvN's 'Seoul Chonnom' aired on the 20th, a large amount of unaired nostalgic trip footage was released.
Previously, in the Cheongju episode, Han Hyo-joo and Lee Beom-soo made the audience burst into laughter with their detailed interpretation of the 'Cheongju dialect'. In response, Cha Tae-hyun said, "My wife still doesn't understand it. She says it makes no sense. She hates it the most."
Additionally, Lee Seung-gi shared behind-the-scenes stories, saying, "After the broadcast, I received a message from Lee Beom-soo. He said, 'Let's have a drink of soju when both of us are free. Whether in autumn or winter, anytime.' Then another message came saying, 'I'll check my schedule tomorrow and try to set it for late September. If I really can't make it, don't feel pressured.'
He continued, "That made me feel even more pressured. Still, narrowing it down from summer, autumn, and winter to late September was almost like pinpointing the coordinates," which brought laughter.
Lee Seung-gi added, "Regional characteristics have long been perceived negatively. I think our show was more fun because it portrayed a cheerful regional character. It felt like getting to know the local culture."
Moreover, an essential part of 'Seoul Chonnom'?the local food mukbang parade?was revealed. Lee Seung-gi said, "The best part of doing 'Seoul Chonnom' this time was the food I ate in the regions. I personally liked it so much that I even ordered some by delivery," naming Gwangju Naju Gomtang as the best taste.
Cha Tae-hyun picked Jeonju Muljjajang, introduced by Defconn, as the best taste, mentioning, "It was my first time trying muljjajang. I also liked mixing it with rice at the end."
A large amount of unaired nostalgic trip footage was also released. During the Busan trip, the 'I Miss You, Friend' segment unfolded, where Lee Si-eon and Sam-D called their Busan friends one after another, but Jang Hyuk had difficulties. Jang Hyuk lamented, "This program is really a cruel broadcast."
On that day, a phone call between Jang Hyuk and the Seoul Chonnoms was made, and Jang Hyuk said, "They always use me as a clinical experiment," but added, "Still, going back to my hometown was a good time," sharing his thoughts.
A call with Han Hyo-joo also followed. Han Hyo-joo laughed, saying, "I received a lot of messages asking how I was since it’s been a while since I appeared on a broadcast. It must be the power of TV."
She also expressed her feelings about appearing on 'Seoul Chonnom', saying, "My heart was touched. They made an album I can always look back on. I’m very grateful."
