For 173 Small and Medium Partner Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] GS Home Shopping announced on the 4th that it will provide free quality inspection services for partner companies that are unable to check products manufactured by overseas local manufacturers due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
To this end, GS Home Shopping has signed agreements with nationally accredited professional testing institutions such as KOTITI Testing & Research Institute, FITI Testing & Research Institute, and Korea Apparel Testing & Research Institute (KATRI) to introduce the 'Overseas Manufacturer Quality Inspection Service.' Priority will be given to small and medium-sized enterprises, and all related costs will be borne by GS Home Shopping.
The target includes approximately 173 small and medium-sized partner companies selling products through GS Home Shopping. Typically, partner companies have visited overseas local manufacturers to inspect products. However, due to strengthened overseas entry procedures caused by COVID-19, they have faced situations where they cannot directly inspect products. Accordingly, GS Home Shopping decided to provide a service that evaluates overseas manufacturers and inspects products through agreements with local inspection agencies in major production countries such as China, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Joo Woonsuk, Executive Director of GS Home Shopping's Communications Headquarters, stated, “GS Home Shopping is devising various measures to support small and medium-sized partner companies facing unexpected difficulties due to COVID-19,” and added, “We will make further efforts to overcome this crisis and ensure thorough quality management through this opportunity.”
