Goheung-gun Agricultural and Marine Specialties, Steadily Preparing for Entry into US Amazon

Consulting on Customized Products for the U.S. Market Including Goheung Yuja and Kim

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] Goheung County, Jeonnam announced on the 19th that it conducted two rounds of local market-tailored product consulting for Amazon entry with the US Amazon vendor company Kreassive (CEO Sean Chang) on the 12th and 18th.

On the 2nd, the county signed an agreement with Kreassive to export $1 million worth of agricultural and marine products from Goheung to online and offline markets including US Amazon, and is steadily preparing follow-up measures accordingly.

Kreassive was established in 2014 in Los Angeles, USA, and acts as a sales agent for online shopping malls such as Amazon. It is a US distribution company operated by Korean Americans with branches in the UK and China, generating annual sales of $30 million.

Arnold, former vice president of Kreassive who participated in this consulting, said, “We are consulting on recipes, weight, packaging, design, etc. to adapt excellent Goheung agricultural and marine products and specialty processed goods to the US local market, and are proceeding with the process to list about 4 to 5 products on Amazon by January next year.”

Kim Kyung-wook, deputy general manager of Eden Food, said, “Due to the impact of COVID-19, the sales channels for agricultural and marine product processing companies have generally shrunk,” and added, “I hope this consulting will help enhance the overseas competitiveness of Goheung’s agricultural and marine specialty products.”

A county official expressed ambition, saying, “As the non-face-to-face online market is greatly expanding due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, we plan to lay the foundation so that Goheung’s agricultural and marine specialty products can be listed on various domestic and international online platforms.”
