Recruitment for First 100 Applicants Until the 30th... Applications Open for Ages 20-65... Job Placement and Support for Certificate Holders
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seongjanghyun) is recruiting participants for the general security guard new employee training and employment course as part of the 2020 district job fund public-private cooperation support project.
This is to alleviate the employment difficulties of youth, middle-aged people, and women with career interruptions seeking jobs.
First, 100 trainees will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis until the 30th of this month. The tuition fee is completely free, and anyone aged 20 to 65 residing in Yongsan-gu can apply.
The training duration is 24 hours (8 hours per day), and the lectures consist of 10 mandatory legal subjects required for security guard employment. It covers both theory such as the Security Services Act and Crime Prevention Theory, and practical training such as facility security and personal protection.
The training is organized by Seogang Vocational School Yongsan Campus (21 Hangang-daero 21-gil). Seogang Vocational School is a police-designated private security guard vocational training specialized institution.
The training will be conducted twice with 50 people each. The first training is from the 31st of this month to the 2nd of next month, and the second training is from November 2nd to 4th.
A one-stop service introducing jobs will be provided to those who complete the training. To this end, the security guard certification acquisition training course and local employment support institutions and consignment institutions will be actively utilized.

The district job fund public-private cooperation support project is a job project targeting mainly youth and people in their 40s. Through a professional institution contest, the project was selected, and this year, in addition to the general security guard new training course, ‘Personal Protection Officer Certification Acquisition,’ ‘Air Conditioner Installation and Maintenance Technical Workforce Training,’ and ‘Fashion Clothing Production Employment Course’ are also operated together.
Seongjanghyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We have prepared an education course linking certification acquisition and employment for residents experiencing employment difficulties,” and added, “We hope for the active interest and participation of job seekers.”
