[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The government discussed real estate measures focused on strengthening the burden on multi-homeowners and protecting low-income earners and genuine buyers.
On the 7th, the government held a meeting of related ministers (Green Room Meeting) chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Hong Nam-ki at the Government Seoul Office to discuss the direction of supplementary real estate measures.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Hong, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Hyun-mi, Director of the Office for Government Policy Coordination Koo Yoon-chul, Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission Sohn Byung-doo, and Senior Secretary for Economic Affairs to the President Lee Ho-seung.
An official from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance said, "Various measures were discussed under the principle of strengthening the burden on multi-homeowners and protecting low-income earners and genuine buyers," adding, "We plan to continue consultations with related ministries going forward."
