[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan Ulju-gun will conduct an intensive hygiene and safety management inspection of lodging and bathhouse businesses in the area for seven weeks from the 6th to August 21st.
The main inspection items include guidance and inspection on Legionella bacteria management such as disinfection related to Legionella in bathhouse businesses and compliance with water quality standards, preparation of bathtub water management logs and confirmation of water tank cleaning, cleaning of air conditioner filters in lodging facilities, maintenance of cleanliness and disinfection of rooms and bedding, education and inspection of other illegal activities such as cohabitation of youths and hidden camera installation, and posting of price lists and lodging registration certificates, focusing on overall hygiene and safety compliance of public hygiene operators.
In addition, for bathhouse businesses using circulating filtration bathtubs where large-scale detection of Legionella bacteria frequently occurs, it will be checked whether a disinfection device is installed just before the circulating filtration filter, and water quality tests for coliform bacteria, Legionella bacteria, and residual chlorine in glassware will be requested from the Health and Environment Research Institute.
An official from Ulju-gun stated, "In these times when disinfection and quarantine guidelines in multi-use facilities are emphasized due to COVID-19, we will contribute to preventing the spread of various infectious diseases through hygiene and safety management guidance and inspection of public hygiene businesses during the peak season, and we will do our best to manage businesses through continuous education and inspection of compliance requirements for public hygiene operators."
