[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] The New York Korean Cultural Center (Director Jo Yoon-jeung) has launched an ‘Online Korean Culture’ page to allow Korean residents to enjoy various Korean cultural contents.
The ‘Online Korean Culture’ page is expected to serve as a new source of vitality for experiencing Korean cultural content amid the difficulties of experiencing Korean culture in New York due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the Online Korean Culture website (www.koreanculture.org/kccny-online), visitors can enjoy online programs produced by Korean public cultural and artistic organizations such as the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the National Theater, the Korea Food Promotion Institute, and the Korean Film Archive, as well as cultural events hosted by the New York Korean Cultural Center. Various Korean cultural contents supported by local New York cultural institutions such as Lincoln Center and New York Theatre Workshop are also available.
Jo Yoon-jeung, director of the New York Korean Cultural Center, said, “I hope the ‘Online Korean Culture’ platform will be a warm comfort to Korean residents and locals who are physically and mentally exhausted amid the severe COVID-19 situation in New York,” adding, “We plan to continuously provide diverse content so that Korean culture can be easily accessed anywhere.”
