On the 7th, some reporters received an email titled "Police Agency Invitation." Upon opening the email, the message reads, "Respectfully, we sincerely hope this letter is accepted. Please report ongoing investigations to the Police Agency. After reviewing the attached documents, consult a lawyer if necessary."
At the bottom of the email, the commissioner’s English name, "Min Gap-Ryong," and the Police Agency address, "97 Tongil-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul," are also included.
The sender's email address is "invitations.fraud@police.go.kr," which contains the word "fraud." Additionally, the email includes an attachment named "document.iso."
A police official stated, "There is a possibility that the attached file contains malicious software, so please be cautious and avoid opening it."
