[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The first death among confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has occurred in Ulsan. As a result, the total number of deaths nationwide has increased to 165.


On the 31st, Ulsan City announced that a 67-year-old man who was hospitalized and receiving treatment at Ulsan University Hospital among local confirmed cases died at around 3:20 PM that day.


Before being confirmed positive on the 28th of last month, the man showed symptoms of pneumonia and was in critical condition.


Since hospitalization, he had been receiving intensive care while continuously breathing with a ventilator at Ulsan University Hospital. It was confirmed that the man had underlying conditions such as pneumonia and angina.


Meanwhile, since the first confirmed case occurred on the 22nd of last month in Ulsan, 39 people have been confirmed positive so far, and 19 of them have been discharged.
