First, the 7th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 25) visited ‘Gyeongbokgung Changwon Branch’ and ‘Noel Gold’ located on the 2nd floor of Seco, Daewon-dong, and experienced muscle pain symptoms on the same day.
Next, the 8th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 26) is a man in his 30s residing in Sangnam-dong, Seongsan-gu, who has a spouse and two children. This patient has a history of visiting Daegu twice on the 17th and 19th.
The 8th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 26) had a meal at the Gyeongbokgung restaurant located in Daegyeong Plaza, Jinrye-myeon, Gimhae City on the 21st, returned to work, and then went home. On the 24th, he commuted to his company, STX Engine, by car, left work early, was tested positive by Changwon Health Center, and is currently receiving treatment after being transferred to Masan Medical Center.
The 9th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 28) is a woman in her 20s attending a university in Daegu and has been confirmed to be related to Shincheonji.
The 10th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 29) is the second son of Changwon 1st case (Gyeongnam 5) and the younger brother of the 2nd confirmed case (Gyeongnam 7). The 10th confirmed case was under self-quarantine from the 22nd, when the 1st and 2nd cases tested positive, and was notified of a positive diagnosis on the 26th, after which he was transferred to Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital.
The 11th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 30) is a man in his 20s residing in Seongsan-gu. During epidemiological investigation, he was identified as a member of the Daegu Shincheonji Church and was designated for active self-quarantine monitoring from the 23rd. He tested positive on the 26th and was transferred to Masan Medical Center.
The 12th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 31) is a woman in her 40s residing in Sangnam-dong, Seongsan-gu, and is the spouse of the 7th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 25). After self-quarantine on the 25th, she tested positive on the morning of the 26th and was transferred to Masan Medical Center.
The 13th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 32) is a teenager residing in Sangnam-dong, Seongsan-gu, and is the son of the 7th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 25). While in self-quarantine at 4 p.m. on the 25th, he tested positive along with the 12th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 31) and was transferred to Masan Medical Center.
The 14th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 33) is the father of the 7th confirmed case (Gyeongnam 25), residing in Dogye-dong, Uichang-gu. While in self-quarantine, he tested positive at the same time as the 12th and 13th cases and was transferred to Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital.
Additionally, as of 10 a.m. on the 26th, the 15th confirmed case in Changwon (Gyeongnam 37) is a woman in her 50s residing in Hapjeong-dong, Masanhoewon-gu, and is a colleague of the 1st confirmed case in Changwon (Gyeongnam 5) at Hanmaeum Changwon Hospital.
Changwon City is conducting epidemiological investigations on the 9th to 14th confirmed cases (Gyeongnam 28~33) and the 15th case (Gyeongnam 37). Disinfection is underway this morning as soon as the movements, including the residences of the confirmed cases, are identified. After confirming the movements, the information will be posted on the Changwon City website and SNS.
Mayor Heo Seong-mu of Changwon City stated, “Yesterday, we completed telephone surveys of a total of 4,024 Shincheonji Church members throughout Changwon.” He added, “As a result of the investigation, five members with a history of visiting Daegu Shincheonji were identified; four are under self-quarantine, and one has been released from quarantine. Among the Shincheonji Church members in Jinhae, two have been found to have mild fever symptoms and will be finally confirmed and managed by the health center today.”
