[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] J Trust Group, which includes JT Capital, JT Chin-Ae Savings Bank, and JT Savings Bank as affiliates, announced on the 21st that it donated funds to 'Kkumkkuneun Gongbang,' a support facility for single mothers operated by the Korea Social Welfare Association, and participated in the single mother support program.
The donation was collected in coins saved little by little by employees of all J Trust Group affiliates over two years, from January 2018 to December 2019, to help neighbors in need.
'Kkumkkuneun Gongbang' is a facility that supports the economic independence of single mothers by helping them sell handmade items and conduct one-day class lectures. The donation from J Trust Group will be used to support instructor fees for single mothers and material costs for activities.
On that day, about 20 employees of J Trust Group also directly participated in the program led by a single mother instructor, spending time making plaster air fresheners and gel candles together. The gel candles made by the employees will be sold through bazaars and events hosted by the Korea Social Welfare Association, with the proceeds planned to be used to help single mother families.
