Kumho Tire Launches 'Neighbor Love Campaign' for Lunar New Year Holiday


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Kumho Tire (CEO Jeon Dae-jin) announced on the 20th that it conducted a ‘Neighbor Love Campaign’ on the 17th, delivering ritual food items and groceries to elderly living alone and senior welfare centers near its Gwangju, Gokseong, and Pyeongtaek factories in celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.


Kumho Tire’s Neighbor Love Campaign is a social contribution activity started with the purpose of sharing the holiday with neighbors in need. Since 2002, every Lunar New Year and Chuseok holiday, it has delivered ritual food items along with love and hope to neighbors.


This Lunar New Year as well, Kumho Tire prepared about 12 million KRW worth of ritual food items and groceries for elderly living alone and marginalized neighbors near its Gwangju, Gokseong, and Pyeongtaek factories.


The ritual food items prepared by Kumho Tire will be delivered to 230 neighbors through Gwangsan District Office, Gwangsan District Eoryong-dong Community Center, Gwangsan District Deureurok Senior Welfare Center, Seo District Senior Comprehensive Welfare Center, Gokseong County Ip-myeon Office, and Pyeongtaek City Poseung-myeon Office.


Jung Jong-won, Executive Director in charge of Quality Assurance, said, “We are always grateful to the local residents who cherish and love Kumho Tire,” and added, “We hope that the small sincerity we prepared will be a strength to neighbors in need around us so that everyone can have a warm and joyful holiday.”


Now in its 19th year, the ‘Neighbor Love Campaign’ is Kumho Tire’s representative community love activity, having delivered ritual food items to about 9,130 neighbors to date.
