Korean actors Gang Dong-won and Ko Joo-won have been discharged from their military service.
Gang and Ko completed their two year-long mandatory military service as public service officers on Monday, according to Korean entertainment news agency STAR NEWS’ report.
Gang starred in many box office hits such as “Jeon Woo Chi”(2009), “Secret Reunion” (2010) and “Haunters” (2010) before his military service. The model turned actor already received many offers including acclaimed film director of "Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time" Yoon Jong-bin’s next project “Goondo” [in Romanized Korean], according to multiple sources in the entertainment business.
Meanwhile, Ko is planning to return to the small screen with an upcoming drama scheduled to air in the first half of 2013, an official from his agency told the magazine over the phone Monday.
Ko burst into the entertainment industry in 2003 with SBS drama "Punch." He became a household name in Korea in 2006 with KBS drama "The Infamous Chill Sister."
