Top K-pop idols Super Junior has made a new record in Taiwan, solidifying the No.1 title for 110 consecutive weeks.
SM Entertainment announced in press releases Tuesday that, Super Junior’s new single “Sexy, Free & Single,” the title song of their sixth full-length album, maintained its reign atop the Korean Top 100 Singles Chart of KKBOX, the biggest Taiwanese music website, during the first week of July.
Their brand new record with “Sexy, Free & Single” is carrying on Super Junior's reputation on the chart, which began in June 2010, replacing their former 63-week No.1 song “BONAMANA,” and 46-week chart-topping tune, “Mr. Simple."
Additionally, the group’s new album, dropped on July 1, proved to be no match by placing all ten tracks from the release within the chart's top 15.
Even though the album has not been officially licensed to Taiwan, it also topped the other Korean-Japanese music charts including “Kwang-nan,” Taiwan’s record sales counting chart between July 2 and 8, with the imported original album.
The pioneers of Hallyu?consisted of Lee Teuk, Ye Sung, Kang In, Shin Dong, Sung Min, Eun Hyuk, Dong Hae, Si Won, Ryeo Wook, Kyu Hyun-- has been leading a successful career both as a K-pop group and individually well-known artists, since their debut in 2005.
