Korean idol Taecyeon of boy band 2PM has been released from the hospital after receiving treatment for his fractured arm.
A rep with JYP Entertainment (JYPE) told 10Asia on Wednesday that Taecyeon, who has been hospitalized for five days, left the hospital today after undergoing arm surgery.
"The surgery very well and he is doing okay. He will take part in the group's upcoming concert in Japan," the official explained, adding that the choreographer will work out a new routine for Taecyeon in order to help him recover from the injury.
Last week, Taecyeon was admitted to the hospital after fracturing his left arm while arm wrestling with his fellow members.
In the meantime, 2PM is slated to begin their six-day concert at the Nippon Budokan starting tomorrow, holding extra shows at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan on June 5 and 6.
2PM -- composed of Nickhun, Chansung, Taecyeon, Junsu, Wooyoung and Junho -- made their debut in Japan in November, 2010. The boys recently dropped their greatest hits album in the Japan.
Following the special release, the group will roll out their fourth Japanese single, "Beautiful," on June 6. The listed song has already been revealed in Japan and used as the background music for a Japanese TV commercial.
