Korean ballad group 2AM has placed within the top three spots of the prestigious Oricon chart with their Japanese debut single.
2AM’s album “Never let you go” made its debut at the No. 3 spot on Oricon’s daily singles chart after selling 11,219 copies since its release in the country yesterday, according to Oricon’s daily singles chart on Thursday.
Ahead of its release, 2AM’s single had topped Japan’s Tower Records online pre-order chart after receiving a large number of orders.
The single, produced in three editions, is composed of the Japanese version of their hit songs "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die" and "Sorry I Can't Smile For You."
In the meantime, the boys will promote their latest release in the country with a high-five session with fans on January 14 and 15.
The group will also give several live performances and then set off on their concert "2AM 1st JAPAN TOUR ‘Never let you go’” which will take place for five days starting January 24 in Nagoya and then in Tokyo and Osaka.
Composed of members Jo Kwon, Changmin, Seulong and Jinwoon, 2AM was trained and discovered by top Korean talenthouse agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE) and made their debut in 2008 with their single album "This Song."
