A Korean film titled "Arrow The Ultimate Weapon" has been pre-sold to six countries at the film market of the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.

A press release by the film’s promoter Delight said today that the new Korean pic titled “Arrow The Ultimate Weapon” has been sold to Showbox for the U.K., already a distributor of a number of Korean films including “TaeGeukGi: Brotherhood of War” (2003), “Silmido” (2003) and “71 Into The Fire,” to Splendid for Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, and to PT AMERO for Indonesia.

The statement added that the Delight clinched the contracts just after distributors did a single reviewing of a minute-long promotional clip and a few still cuts.

A speedy action film starring Park Hae-il, Ryu Seung-ryeong, Moon Chae-won and Kim Moo-yeol which is set in the era of Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), "Arrow" is about a genius archer who takes off to China on his own armed with only a few arrows in order to rescue his sister who was dragged off by the Qing Dynasty army.

The film, helmed by director Kim Han-min, aims to open in Korean theaters around August this year.
