Boy band Beast and songstress G.NA have taken part in the remake album of renowned J-pop artist Masaharu Fukuyama, revealed their agency Cube Entertainment on Thursday.
According to a press release by Cube, Beast and G.NA, participated in Japanese singer-songwriter and actor Masaharu Fukuyama’s best album project titled “With Special Guests - Fukuyama Masaharu’s Remake” by singing remake versions of his past hit songs to mark his 20-year singing career.
Beast sang to “Niji” (Rainbow), one of Fukuyama’s greatest hits that was also used as a theme song to a drama, while G.NA sang a cover of the song “Milk Tea” which tells one's feelings of love from a woman’s point of view.
The statement said the two were chosen for the latest project for their wide appeal to fans in Asia: Beast took the No.3 spot on the prestigious Oricon DVD chart this week with their DVD “Genesis of Beast” and G.NA has been making waves with her new song "Black & White" at home which swept music charts of several major televised music programs.
Fukuyama’s new album will be released simultaneously in six nations throughout Asia while in late March, the Korean singers will release their covers of the songs as separate digital singles.
