Korean ballad group 2AM’s album has come atop the weekly music chart of global online music retailer HMV based in Hong Kong. The HMV Hong Kong website showed that 2AM’s “Saint o’clock,” released in the country on April 15, ranked No. 1 on its weekly Japanese/Korean music chart from the week of April 10 to 16. Big Hit Entertainment, 2AM’s producer and promoter, pointed out in today’s statement that result is meaningful as the boys are set to take off on their Asia tour today. The group, which fly out to the Philippines early in the morning, will head to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam and return from the tour in mid-June. “Saint o’clock,” which is the group’s first regular album released in Korea last October, had topped various online music charts. The same album then also took the leads on weekly K-POP/J-POP chart of global record retailer HMV in Singapore from November 14 to 27, the same chart for major record store CD-RAMA, and in Taiwan, the weekly K-J POP section of the prestigious G-Music Chart as of November 18.Trained and discovered by major talenthouse JYP Entertainment, 2AM released their debut single "This Song" in July 2008. They have several hit ballads under their belt including "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die," "Time for Confession" and "I Did Wrong."
