A video of a postpartum caregiver saying her final goodbye to a newborn she cared for over three weeks has become a hot topic. Amid recent reports of postpartum caregivers abusing newborns, this story appears to have deeply moved many online users.


A post titled "Saying Goodbye to the Postpartum Caregiver Who Was With Us for Three Weeks," uploaded by a mother on January 13, received 78,000 likes and nearly 700 comments, drawing significant attention. In footage captured by a home camera, the postpartum caregiver, on her last day of work after caring for the newborn for three weeks, quietly approaches the baby to say goodbye while the mother is asleep.


In the video's description, the mother explained, "On the last day, while I was sleeping, the caregiver quietly said goodbye to my child. She kept repeating to the baby, 'You must be happy, you must be healthy.'"

After the postpartum caregiver left, the mother found a letter in the house. The letter read, "Dear mother, I am leaving well. I wish you always good health and only happiness. Raise your baby beautifully, and may your family be filled with joy this year." It ended with, "Goodbye. Thank you."

The mother said she burst into tears as soon as she read the letter, explaining that she felt both regret and gratitude because the caregiver had been such a wonderful person. She recalled, "Because issues with postpartum caregivers often appear in the news, I was very worried," adding, "But I met someone so wonderful that those worries proved unnecessary."
