Rose secured his 13th career PGA Tour victory, six months after winning the FedEx St. Jude Championship in August of last year. This was his second win at this tournament since 2019, and he became the oldest champion in the event’s history at age 45.
It was a flawless victory-a wire-to-wire win, maintaining his lead at the top of the leaderboard for all four days. He shot a 62 in the first round, 65 in the second, and 68 in the third. Riding high for three days, he entered the final round with a seven-shot lead. In the fourth round, he showcased his experience with steady play to protect his score.
Rose excelled with both his irons and putter. During the tournament, he recorded a greens-in-regulation rate of 81.84% and averaged 1.59 putts per hole, ranking first in both categories. He used a combination of Titleist 620 CB and Miura MC-502 irons. For his putter, he showcased his best skills with the highly forgiving Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype in his bag.
