On January 29, Yangju City held a three-party business agreement signing ceremony at the Agricultural Technology Center, attended by around 10 representatives, including Songju Lee, Director of the Yangju Agricultural Technology Center, Sungju Kim, Director of the Yangju United Agricultural Cooperative Rice Processing Complex, and Sungho Cho, President of the Yangju Rice Research Association, to promote the "Production and Quality Advancement of Premium Yangju Rice in 2026."

Through this agreement, the three organizations will jointly implement several initiatives throughout 2026, including: applying a premium rice production manual, thorough post-harvest quality control and branding, securing safe seeds, and expanding Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification. They will engage in organic collaboration to strengthen the competitiveness of Yangju rice.

In particular, the city plans to implement precision agriculture in the field this year by simultaneously conducting a "Low-Carbon Rice Farming Technology Demonstration Project" and a "Stable Rice Production Cultivation Complex Demonstration Project" to respond to climate change.

Songju Lee, Director of the Yangju Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "This agreement brings together production, technical support, and distribution, providing an opportunity to further enhance the value of Yangju rice. We will do our best to offer consumers high-quality Yangjugol Rice with excellent taste and to help farmers achieve tangible income growth."

Meanwhile, the Yangju Rice Research Association, led by President Sungho Cho, is comprised of 113 professional farmers and plays a key role in strengthening the competitiveness of Yangju rice.
