One in Five Users Received Over 100,000 Won
Total Transaction Volume Reaches 86 Trillion Won... 47% from Decade-Long Users

Naver Pay announced on January 20 that one out of every three users who received point benefits last year enjoyed benefits of at least 50,000 won per year.

One in Three Naver Pay Users Received Over 50,000 Won in Benefits Last Year

One in five users received benefits of at least 100,000 won per year. The company attributed this to a growing proportion of high-accumulation users in 2025.

Approximately 30 million users experienced point benefits through Naver Pay last year. Of these, 17.31 million users received cumulative benefits of at least 10,000 won, accounting for about 33% of the total population.

Among benefit recipients, one in three (9.56 million users) accumulated at least 50,000 won per year, and one in five (6.36 million users) accumulated at least 100,000 won per year.

The number of users who received benefits of at least 50,000 won and 100,000 won per year increased by 12% and 20%, respectively, compared to the previous year.

The increase in the proportion of high-accumulation users is due to a rise in users utilizing accumulated points at both online and offline, as well as domestic and international, payment locations. The Naver Pay point ecosystem also expanded.

Last year, 18.4 million users, or 63% of all users, experienced point benefits after making payments with Naver Pay at locations outside Naver platforms such as Naver Shopping and Webtoon.

External payment locations include online merchants such as Baedal Minjok, Agoda, Kream, and Market Kurly, as well as everyday services like tax payments, transportation, insurance, and gas stations; convenience stores; supermarkets and duty-free shops; cafes and bakeries for offline in-store payments; and a variety of online and offline merchants in different countries.

The number of users who received accumulation benefits through on-site Naver Pay payments in Korea, such as point draws and stamps, also rose by 20% compared to the previous year.

Among domestic on-site payment users, 833,000 experienced benefits of at least 10,000 won per year, and 253,000 experienced benefits of at least 30,000 won per year.

In particular, the number of users who received overseas payment benefits increased significantly last year. A total of 530,000 users experienced benefits while using Naver Pay abroad.

The number of users who received point accumulation benefits through overseas QR payments increased by 154% compared to the previous year, while those who benefited from the prepaid balance 'Npay Money' and the prepaid card 'Npay Money Card,' which allows users to spend accumulated points anywhere, increased by 120% year-over-year.

Last year, overseas QR payments were used in 47 countries, and the Npay Money Card was used in 167 countries. The user who accumulated the most points via overseas QR payments earned 400,000 won per year, while the user who received the most benefits via the Npay Money Card accumulated 1.85 million won per year.

The number of users who received point benefits through financial services also increased. The cumulative number of users who experienced point benefits through promotions such as loan interest support and credit score management services exceeded 8.66 million, more than tripling compared to the previous year.

Of these, 7.51 million received benefits through loans, and 1.15 million through insurance.

Meanwhile, the total transaction volume through Naver Pay last year reached 86 trillion won. Of this, about 40 trillion won, or 46.5%, was spent by users who have been with the Naver Pay service since its launch in 2015. In particular, the transaction volume from these users increased 22.2 times compared to 2015.

Park Sangjin, CEO of Naver Pay, stated, "Naver Pay was able to become an essential service for everyone in Korea thanks to our users," adding, "We will continue to increase tangible benefits through Npay and grow together with users of all age groups."
