A father's midnight break-in to a water park for his son's birthday
Owner says, "We were shocked at first, but soon found ourselves smiling"
In Russia, a father broke into a water park at midnight to celebrate his son's birthday party. As a result of this incident, he faced the risk of being fired from his job, but after hearing his story, the company decided to forgive him.
According to reports from foreign media outlets such as the Daily Mail and The Sun on September 2 (local time), two men broke into a water park in Khabarovsk, Russia, on August 26. The two were a father and son, and the father was an employee of the water park. The father, identified as Mr. A, secretly entered the pool with his son at around 11 p.m., after the water park had closed for the night.
That day was Mr. A's son's 11th birthday, and Mr. A had planned a surprise event for his son by entering the empty water park to play together, just the two of them. However, even in the dark, the security cameras inside the water park were operating, and the footage clearly captured the two enjoying water play in the pool.
Ksenia Rudenko, the owner of the water park, stated, "It was like a scene from a movie, where an employee secretly brought his son into the water park at night," adding, "We could have fired him." However, Rudenko ultimately decided not to dismiss Mr. A.
Rudenko explained, "Mr. A entered the water park out of a human desire to give his child an unforgettable moment. We were all shocked at first. But soon, we found ourselves smiling."
She continued, "All of us have experienced pure joy as children. Don't we all want to create such memories for our own kids?" She explained this was the reason for forgiving Mr. A's mistake. However, she also emphasized, "From now on, we must handle such matters differently and prepare birthday events for children in a more appropriate way."
The water park's operating hours are from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., and after the incident, the company decided to strengthen internal security measures. Meanwhile, the 11-year-old boy who enjoyed water play with his father said, "I was happy to have time alone with my dad. I think it will remain a birthday I will remember for the rest of my life."
