According to the county on August 7, this event is jointly organized by Jangsu County, the New Vitality Plus Promotion Group, and the Woosuk University RISE (Regional Innovation-led University Support System) project team. It aims to increase the resident population and revitalize the local economy by holding a small-scale festival featuring local food products.

This Gwangjang Festa is an outdoor-themed festival where families can enjoy summer together, featuring water activities, hands-on experiences, food, and local agricultural specialties. It is a summer festival where visitors can cool off with refreshing Jangsu draft beer and beat the heat.

At the event, visitors can purchase Jangsu County's high-quality agricultural products such as apples, blueberries, tomatoes, and watermelons. A variety of foods will also be available, including American-style seafood stew, chicken, Vietnamese cuisine, burgers, shaved ice, and beer.

Additionally, family-friendly experience programs such as making potato gochujang, decorating T-shirts, and water gun activities will be offered, providing unique enjoyment for participants.

Notably, the agricultural specialties, food, and experience products sold at this event are planned and operated directly by Jangsu County farmers and small business owners, making this a meaningful festival created by the local community.

Furthermore, in cooperation with Jangsu County's official online shopping mall "Jangsumaul," discount vouchers usable at the festival will be offered.

After signing up as a member on the Jangsumaul website, visitors can purchase "Gwangjang Festa Discount Vouchers" in 5,000-won increments at a 40% discount, up to 50,000 won. These can be exchanged for physical vouchers at the "Jangsumaul Promotion Booth" at the event and used to purchase agricultural products, food, and participate in experience programs.

Each person can receive a discount benefit of up to 20,000 won. Purchases, exchanges, and usage of the vouchers are only available until the last day of the event on August 10. For county residents and visitors who have difficulty using Jangsumaul, on-site guidance for membership and purchasing procedures will be provided.

County Governor Choi Hunsik said, "We expect this 'Gwangjang Festa' to be an opportunity to widely promote 'Jangsumaul,' the county's online shopping mall for agricultural products. We hope that many residents and tourists will come to this festival, enjoy refreshing Jangsu draft beer, and have a pleasant and special time during the hot summer."

Meanwhile, starting with this "Season 1: Beer," the county plans to sequentially hold a series of small-scale relay festivals in the second half of the year, featuring various food and experience themes such as jang (fermented sauces), Makgeolli, kimjang (kimchi-making), and fermentation.
