According to Seo District on June 25, these initiatives go beyond simple support and embody the values of sharing and solidarity, further solidifying the identity of 'Kind City Seo District.'

Recently, Seo District opened the 10th branch of 'Cheonwon Guksi.' Currently, a total of 1,000 bowls of noodles per day (100 bowls per branch) are being offered at an affordable price at Cheonwon Guksi locations throughout the district.

This project generates a threefold benefit: creating jobs for seniors, promoting the consumption of domestic wheat, and spreading a culture of sharing in the local community. Each branch is tailored to serve various beneficiaries, such as seniors and vulnerable groups, according to the characteristics of the local neighborhood.

Starting this month, Seo District has also introduced 'Cheonwon Taxi' for the first time in Gwangju, launching full-scale operations. This transportation welfare policy improves medical accessibility by allowing transportation-vulnerable individuals with severe illnesses (those eligible for Medical Aid Type 1 and special case coverage) to pay only 1,000 won for hospital trips.

From next year, the district plans to expand eligibility to include long-term care recipients, suspected dementia patients, and discharged patients, ensuring that no one postpones treatment due to transportation costs by providing attentive care administration.

Seo District is also providing the 'Cheonwon Emergency Care Service' for families unable to provide care for their children due to sudden parental circumstances. This service is available for children aged 6 to 12 or elementary school students during the school term (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and during school vacations (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) at the Together Care Centers in Dongcheon-dong and Hwajeong 4-dong. With a low fee of 1,000 won, parents can safely entrust their children, making it highly popular among working mothers and fathers.

On June 28, the 'Cheonwon Picnic' will be piloted at Sangmu Citizen Park. Picnic sets will be available for rent for 1,000 won, and free experience programs such as making Taegukgi umbrellas will also be offered.

The district plans to expand this as a seasonal event delivering 'small but certain happiness' by changing themes and locations according to the season. Next year, the 'Cheonwon's Companionship' series will be further expanded.

'Cheonwon Ae Dream Laundry,' which solves inconveniences in daily life, is a care-type service in which self-sufficiency participants visit the homes of people with disabilities to collect, wash, and deliver laundry in a one-stop process. The service is available for 1,000 won and is expected to establish itself as a 'mutual care' community model that provides employment opportunities for both self-sufficiency workers and people with severe disabilities.

The 'Cheonwon Organizing and Storage' project supports customized home organization for households that have difficulty maintaining cleanliness, with hearing- and speech-impaired individuals who have obtained professional organizing certificates visiting the homes. This service is also available for 1,000 won and is significant in that it provides people with disabilities not only with simple employment but also with opportunities for professional independence.

District Mayor Kim Ikang said, "'Cheonwon's Companionship' is a set of strong policies that deliver small but certain happiness close to residents' daily lives," adding, "We will continue to accelerate Seo District's unique kind administration and the realization of a warm care community."
