Seo-gu District in Gwangju Provides 170 Million Won in Support to 105 Small Businesses

Support for Business Environment and Promotion Expenses
Through the Hope Guide Project

On June 12, Seo-gu District in Gwangju (District Mayor Kim Ikang) announced that it held an appointment ceremony for the 'Small Business Support Committee' and, through deliberation on the 'Hope Guide for Small Businesses Support Project,' provided a total of approximately 170 million won in support to 105 businesses.

This project aims to help improve the business environment and support promotion and marketing for small businesses in the district. Seo-gu accepted applications from March until the end of last month and selected recipients to receive support for facility improvement costs and advertising expenses. In the business environment improvement category, 87 businesses applied, while 19 businesses applied in the promotion and marketing category.


Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu District, stated, "We will revitalize local commercial districts through projects such as the Onnuri Gift Certificate subscription program."


On the same day, Seo-gu Council member Kim Taejin, who was newly appointed, said, "We will discover additional support projects that small business owners can truly benefit from."


The Seo-gu Small Business Support Committee consists of a total of nine members, including three internal members and six external members. The committee deliberates and consults on the establishment of support policies for small businesses and matters related to special guarantee programs.
