Korea Racing Authority's LetsRunPark Busan Gyeongnam (headed by Um Youngseok) has contributed to alleviating the blood supply shortage.
On June 12, LetsRunPark Busan Gyeongnam held the 2024 first-half "Life Sharing Blood Donation Volunteer" event at LetsRunPark in Gangseo-gu, Busan, with participation from employees and horse industry stakeholders.

This blood donation event carried added significance as a practical act of saving lives, especially amid increasing difficulties in securing blood supplies due to factors such as a decrease in military units, low birth rates, and an aging population.
The LetsRunPark organizers stated, "While the demand for blood continues to rise, the population eligible to donate is decreasing. We hope this volunteer effort can be of some help," adding, "It was even more meaningful as employees and horse industry stakeholders participated voluntarily."
LetsRunPark Busan Gyeongnam has been practicing the values of respect for life and sharing through regular annual blood donation events. Participants in the blood donation received a certificate issued by the Korean Red Cross, four hours of volunteer service credit per donation, and a small commemorative gift.
An employee who participated in the blood donation said, "It was very meaningful to be able to participate in blood donation, which can save lives, even amid busy work," adding, "I hope to help spread the culture of blood donation through continued participation."
Korea Racing Authority plans to continue promoting various community contribution programs, including life-sharing activities, to fulfill its social responsibilities as a public corporation.
