"Seeking Technologies to Apply at Construction Sites"... Full-scale Launch of a Win-Win Ecosystem
DL E&C announced on June 12 that it will hold an "Open Innovation Contest" in collaboration with the Seoul Business Agency, a support organization for small and medium-sized enterprises under the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Now in its fifth year, this program aims to discover startups with innovative technologies and business ideas, and to promote joint growth with DL E&C through these collaborations.
Applications for this contest will be accepted from June 13 to July 4 through the "Startup Plus" website. The contest covers a total of five fields: smart construction technology, carbon-neutral technology, eco-friendly energy technology, productivity enhancement technology, and innovative ideas for the construction industry.
DL E&C plans to select promising startups through both document and in-person evaluations, and will conduct a PoC (Proof of Concept) process to apply new technologies at actual construction sites. Each selected company will receive 10 million won in PoC support funding through the Seoul Business Agency, as well as opportunities for joint technology development and commercialization.
DL E&C stated, "Based on our diverse collaboration portfolio accumulated through open innovation, we plan to consider investments in promising startups and joint technology development." In fact, the company has invested in several startups and implemented win-win models through previous contests. A company representative emphasized, "We look forward to the participation of many startups with innovative technologies and fresh ideas," adding, "We will continue to build a sustainable win-win partnership that grows together with DL E&C."
