on Selected Guam Routes
Jin Air announced on June 12 that it will increase the frequency of its Guam route to three flights per day starting next month.
Starting July 1, the Incheon-Guam route will operate twice daily with the addition of an evening departure. The evening flight (LJ917) will depart Incheon every day at 7:40 p.m. and arrive in Guam at 1:20 a.m. the following day. From July 10, the departure time will be adjusted to 8:50 p.m. The morning flight (LJ913) will depart every day at 9:20 a.m.
The Busan-Guam route will increase from four flights per week to daily service starting June 23. The flight will depart Gimhae Airport every day at 9:00 p.m. (LJ921) and arrive at Guam Airport at 2:00 a.m. the next day. The return flight from Guam (LJ922) will depart every day at 3:00 a.m.
Jin Air, in cooperation with the Guam Visitors Bureau, will run a promotion including discounted airfares for three weeks from June 12 to July 2. For the Incheon-Guam route, a 10% discount is offered for morning departures and a 15% discount for evening departures. For the Busan-Guam route, a 15% discount applies to tickets booked for departures in June and July, and a 10% discount applies to tickets booked for departures in August. The travel period is from June 23 to August 31.
The complimentary checked baggage service, which is standard even for discounted tickets, will remain in effect. Passengers on these routes can check in up to two pieces of baggage (23kg each) free of charge.
Jin Air pioneered the Guam route among low-cost carriers in April 2010. In December 2014, Jin Air chose Guam as the inaugural route for its first wide-body aircraft, the B777-200ER, which was the first of its kind introduced by a low-cost carrier. In April 2016, Jin Air launched the Busan-Guam route. Through stable operations, the airline has contributed to the development of tourism between the two countries and improved travel convenience for customers.
