FSN announced on May 27 that the monthly active users (MAU) of 'CashPlay,' the mobile game marketing platform operated by its subsidiary Doohub, increased by 80% year-on-year in April.
CashPlay is a mobile game platform where users can accumulate points based on their gameplay time. From the user's perspective, they can enjoy both gaming and app-tech services simultaneously, receive higher rewards compared to competitors, and maximize enjoyment by completing in-app missions. In addition, CashPlay has established itself as an essential platform for game marketing, covering everything from pre-registration that attracts user interest, to app installation, in-app play, in-app actions, and retention achievement.
In particular, on May 15, CashPlay introduced a new 'Collection Tab' feature that allows users to view and manage their rewards at a glance. Alongside this, the platform enhanced its app-tech features so that even non-game users can benefit, thereby improving both user convenience and accessibility.
Since its launch in November 2023, CashPlay has been growing rapidly every year. In April this year, the MAU and the average daily active users (av.DAU) increased by 80% and 118% year-on-year, respectively. The number of gameplay users also grew by 88%. As a result, monthly revenue surged by 513%.
CashPlay has already been validated as a mobile game marketing platform through partnerships with over 150 game companies and more than 500 games. Both large and small-to-medium-sized game companies are working with CashPlay. Major clients include Kakao Games, NCSoft, LINE Games, Com2uS, and NHN. The platform not only boasts high user retention rates but also shows an outstanding increase in IAA (in-app advertising) revenue, leading to expectations for even greater growth in the future.
