Namdo Market Signs Technology Cooperation Agreement with Digital Seoul Culture Arts University to Strengthen Design Competitiveness

Namdo Market Co., Ltd. (CEO Yang Seung-woo) announced on the 27th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 26 with Digital Seoul Culture & Arts University (President Jang Seung-won) for the joint development of AI-based design pattern extraction technology.

The signing ceremony was attended by Namdo Market CEO Yang Seung-woo, Digital Seoul Culture & Arts University President Jang Seung-won, Song Eun-young, Head of the Department of Fashion Industry, and Joo Young-gyu, Team Leader of External Cooperation, where they discussed ways to collaborate.

Through this agreement, the two parties aim to jointly research and develop design pattern extraction technology using artificial intelligence (AI) and apply it to industrial sites, linking it to commercialization. In particular, they plan to build a pattern database that analyzes design trends by industry based on design data.

The main contents of the agreement include ▲ development of AI-based design pattern extraction technology ▲ academic research cooperation related to design and AI technology ▲ provision and processing of design data for AI model development ▲ analysis of design trends by industry and construction of a pattern database, encompassing practical cooperation measures to strengthen the competitiveness of the design industry.

Namdo Market CEO Yang Seung-woo stated, “Through this agreement, we plan to enhance the design competitiveness of wholesale small business owners engaged in manufacturing and provide opportunities to increase sales,” adding, “We will continue to grow as a company that coexists with small business owners by utilizing AI technology.”

Meanwhile, established in 2020, Namdo Market is a wholesale and retail platform exclusively for business operators, providing a service that allows purchasing products at wholesale prices without directly visiting wholesale markets. In particular, its ‘ND Delivery’ service, which picks up wholesale products from Namdaemun and Dongdaemun markets and consolidates shipments, has attracted attention, and its industry-lowest commission policy has received great response from domestic retail customers.
