Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 21st that it has selected outstanding departments that achieved excellent results following the 2024 major task self-evaluation.

This evaluation was finalized on the 18th through the Major Task Evaluation Committee (Chairman Lee Tae-jin). The evaluation was conducted to analyze and assess the major task achievements pursued by each department throughout the year and to encourage departments that contributed to the development of city administration.
The Major Task Evaluation Committee is composed of city council members, directors, professors, and administrative experts. The 36 departments were divided into five groups according to the nature of their tasks to verify their performance, and subcommittees were formed by group to conduct evaluations based on each department’s work achievements.
As a result of the evaluation, the outstanding departments selected were: ▲ Group A - Best: Autonomous Administration Division, Excellence: Planning and Audit Officer, Encouragement: Public Relations and Future Planning Officer ▲ Group B - Best: Family Support Division, Excellence: Social Welfare Division, Encouragement: Culture and Arts Division ▲ Group C - Best: Parks and Greenery Division, Excellence: Environmental Protection Division, Encouragement: Jobs and Economy Division ▲ Group D - Best: Safety General Division, Excellence: Road Division, Encouragement: Architecture Division ▲ Group E - Best: Saengyeon 1-dong, Excellence: Bulhyeon-dong, Encouragement: Saengyeon 2-dong.
Departments selected as outstanding will receive commendations, prize money, additional points in work performance evaluations for meritorious public officials, and incentives for overseas training.
A member of the Major Task Evaluation Committee stated, “Departments that did their best in their assigned tasks and achieved results were selected as outstanding departments. We will develop evaluation indicators so that citizens can feel the changes in administrative services and strive for fair evaluations.”
Meanwhile, Dongducheon City plans to encourage departments that achieved excellent results through this evaluation and continue to create tangible outcomes for citizens through proactive administration and creative policy implementation.
