Damyang County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 18th that it visited the site of a mock early voting test for the April 2nd by-election and encouraged election workers while inspecting the preparation status.
The mock early voting test was conducted in 12 towns and townships within the county, with the participation of early voting supervisors, equipment managers, and early voting staff. The preparations included thorough checks of the election-only communication network, access to the integrated voter list system, and printing of mock ballots.
Jung Gwangseon, acting governor of the county, visited the mock early voting test site in Damyang-eup to check the preparation status and encourage the staff. At the site, Acting Governor Jung requested, "Please make sure to thoroughly familiarize yourselves with the equipment operation procedures so that early voting can proceed smoothly without any issues."
Meanwhile, the early voting for the April 2nd by-election will be held from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 28th and 29th. Voters who wish to cast their ballots before the official election day can do so at any early voting station with their ID, without any prior notification.
